1. Access the assessment criteria
From the administration area, open the Assessment Criteria menu.
Here, you can find the criteria used in HR processes, including the performance score.
Select Performance Score to access its configuration settings.
2. Choose the calculation method
Two methods are available.
Simple Score
The Simple Score allows you to define a customized performance rating scale.
You can configure:
The display format: letters, percentages, or points.
The scale range.
The label associated with each level.
Example rating scale:
Level | Label |
A | Far exceeds expectations |
B | Exceeds expectations |
C | Meets expectations |
D | Partially meets expectations |
E | Does not meet expectations |
The levels and their labels can be customized to match your organization's HR framework.
Advanced Score
The Advanced Score allows you to configure how skills and objectives contribute to the overall performance score in greater detail.
It includes the same rating scale settings as the Simple Score, along with additional weighting rules.
3. Configure the skills calculation
In Advanced mode, define which skills should be included in the calculation.
You can select:
All skills or only job-related skills.
Specific skill types, such as technical skills.
The weighting of the employee's self-assessment.
The weighting of the manager's assessment.
Example:
You can choose to give the manager's assessment more weight than the employee's self-assessment.
4. Configure the objectives calculation
Next, define the weighting applied to objectives assessments.
As with skills, you can adjust the weight assigned to the employee's and reviewer's assessments.
This configuration allows you to tailor the calculation to your organization's HR assessment methodology.
5. Define the weighting between skills and objectives
A slider allows you to distribute the overall weighting between the two dimensions.
Example:
Skills: 40%
Objectives: 60%
In this example, objectives account for 60% of the overall calculation, while skills account for 40%.
You can also choose to base the calculation entirely on one dimension, for example:
Skills: 0%
Objectives: 100%
Important: If the campaign does not include both a skills assessment and an objectives assessment, the overall weighting between these two dimensions does not apply.
6. Review the calculation preview
A calculation preview is available during configuration.
It allows you to view:
The calculated score.
The corresponding level on the rating scale.
The contribution of skills.
The contribution of objectives.
The weightings applied.
Use this preview to check that the calculation is consistent with your expectations before activating the configuration.
7. Manage score versions
Performance score configurations are version-controlled.
An active version cannot be modified directly.
To update the calculation:
Go to the Performance Score criterion.
Select Create a New Version.
Update the required settings.
Review the calculation preview.
Save the new configuration.
Version management allows you to preserve the settings of previous versions while preparing a new calculation method for future campaigns.
8. Enable the score in a campaign
Once the assessment criteria have been configured:
Open your review campaign settings.
Go to the performance score settings.
Enable the performance score.
Select the appropriate configuration.
Review the settings before launching the campaign.
