How It Works

The calculation compares the gap between:

  • Expected skill levels for a job profile

  • Your current skill levels in your profile

Example:

  • The required level for English in a job is 3

  • If your level is 2 → 3 - 2 = 1 → the skill is considered acquired (included)

  • If your level is 1 → 3 - 1 = 2 → the skill is considered not acquired (excluded)

Good to know:
Profiles with skills that have no rating will not match with level 1 job skills. This prevents irrelevant suggestions when a profile is incomplete.

Weighting and Matching

It is possible to configure the weight of different skill groups. These weights directly influence matching results.

Matching is calculated as a proximity percentage, based on:

  • Total number of skills in the job profile (by skill group)

  • Weight assigned to each skill group

  • Skills currently being learned (gap of 1 with required level)

  • Number of acquired skills shared with the target job

How to Read Results

Proximity indicators (badges):
They show whether your match with a job is high, medium, or low.

Default color rules:

  • 70% – 100% → Green badge (high match)

  • 40% – 70% → Orange badge (medium match)

  • Below 40% → Red badge (low match)

These thresholds can be customized in the configuration.

Additional Information

  • Matching badges can be hidden if desired, allowing users to explore job opportunities freely without influence

  • Matching is calculated automatically each time you access the Job Profiles tab in your career plan

  • It is also possible to factor in gaps between jobs with significantly different classifications
